My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho (Nine-Tailed Fox)

Mom bought me a DVD of this. I bugged her in buying me this 'cause I was curious with the plot of this story (this show will be shown at ABS-CBN 2 on May 9). Me and my brother immediately watched this and we weren't disappointed. . I am really hooked. We've only watched 3 episodes and it's super funny especially the blackmailing part. The Gumiho or Gu Mi Ho (the name was given by Dae Woong) is really pretty. As of now, the things I've understand is this series is that Gu Mi Ho was imprisoned for 500 years in a painting by her grandmother because she was beautiful and the female humans are threatened by her beauty. She cannot find a husband because of the humor that she eats human liver (which is NOT true. Her favorite food is COW).Her biggest fear is water (like oceans, lake, etc). Her biggest dream is to be a human. She scared Dae Woong into drawing the nine-tails in the painting so she can be free. The Dae Woong had an accident and Mi Ho gave her a "fox-bead" so he wouldn't die. Thus, the blackmailing starts.

I don't usually get hooked to a celebrity that easily. But hey, this guy looks and acting skills got me off-guard and they're the reason why I like TV now. Local Celebs don't usually stand out in the entertainment scene (because of Hollywood and they're acting usually sucks), but this guy really rocks. Who is he?






NOT Familiar? Fine, it's JM De Guzman.





He's the actor currently portraying Gabriel in the ABS-CBN's remake of Mula Sa Puso. The role formerly portrayed by Rico Yan. So you really can imagine the pressure he's into in doing this role. I wouldn't know what's the original series were since I was barely 1 years old when it was filmed but THAT show jumpstarted the careers of Claudine Barreto and Rico Yan (Additional trivia: My mom's ultimate crush is Rico Yan so she really cried when he died). As I said earlier, I don't usually like local teleseryes (yeah, I was pretty disappointed with Mara Clara) since it has too much drama but this one got me hooked because of this actor. My daddy said "He's a natural at acting", I quite agree with him. He has a nice face and a cute smile, I could tell that he's really nice in real life. Me and my cousin is like, always in front of the telly when it's 6:00 just because of this show. I love the Lauren Young-JM De Guzman tandem. *sigh* I love him, already.

So If you haven't seen him yet, watch Mula Sa Puso :)
Just as long as they don't put too much heavy drama (dude, that sucks) like they did with Mara Clara.

Mula Sa Puso casts JM De Guzman and Lauren Young will be at SM Lucena City tomorrow (April 10).
